Weather Stalls Steam

Today the Trustees have had to take the unfortunate decision to cancel steam trains on both our 3 foot and 7¼ inch gauge railways for the time being.

Our open day on Sunday 2nd August will still go ahead. The BVLR will use it’s battery locomotive and we will run both of our diesel locomotives on the 3 foot gauge railway, carrying out some shunting with Mells, van 40 and wagon 41.

We are obviously very disappointed at this, the other steaming dates will be reviewed as they approach, please keep a watch here for further updates. Rain dances would not go amiss!
