As I mentioned in my previous posts, the lot of the Stationmaster at Santa Halt is not necessarily a happy one, thanks to the arctic blast that plays around his extremities- a piercing, searching, biting cold, to quote Charles Dickens.
Well, Spring is well and truly on the way, with- I don’t know, Snowdrips or whatever they are- beginning to pop up, and thankfully, Christmas is a good two months ago, and we don’t have to think about it again
A little reminder, should one be necessary, that our open days for 2025 commence this Sunday, April 20th. Steamworks will be open to visitors between 1pm and 4pm with all the regular attractions and in addition our new diesel locomotive
As part of their Science Week events, the Southwold Arts Centre are hosting a talk on the Southwold Railway by John Ridgway on Tuesday 29th October commencing 7:30pm. At the time of writing there are still plenty of tickets available.
