Regrettably, the Trust cannot open Steamworks to the public yet as social distancing rules for rides etc cannot be met at present.

HOWEVER, the Blyth Road site is open to volunteers from June 1st, by arrangement, so that we can organise socially distanced working. The Station Master, Oliver Densham, will keep a diary on site and volunteers need to call the Station on 01502 725422 to agree a suitable time. Thus  we can limit the number on site at any one time to five. This is not restricted to Wednesdays and Saturdays.

There is a lot to do – tracklayong, landscaping, painting, engineering, building etc. All volunteers must be Trust members of course. Anyone wishing to join can do so via this website. It’s a good time to join this growing organisation.
