Today, Wednesday January 15th, for the first time this winter, the Wenhaston Environmental Volunteers were rained off.   It must have been something we blogged.
However, we used the time profitably in our Southwold workshop.  Marker posts for onsite chainage marking were cut, pointed and had their tops painted white so that they can be easily seen.  These will be numbered, and placed at each chain end through our site, west to east:  it will then be much easier to refer to particular lengths of trackbed, civil engineering features, or wildlife.

Then, as we were there anyway, we continued with Coach 7’s restoration, so the day was not lost.
